　　秦直道是公元前２１２年，秦始皇命大将蒙恬修筑的一条快速驰往北方边境的道路。道路北起九原郡（今内蒙古包头市西），南抵秦都附近的云阳（今陕西淳化县北），全长约７００多公里，路面平均宽度约３０米。这个古道被今天的学者称为中国历史上最早的一条“高速公路”。目前，位于鄂尔多斯市东胜区境内的秦直道遗址保存得较为完整。
